Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with the University of Buckingham, is a University Teaching Hospital; we conduct research and teaching on site to improve the care of our patients. The hospital is undergoing significant investment and development including a new surgical ward.
Job overview:
- Cleaning Assistant
- 30 hours per week
- Weekdays, Monday to Friday 10:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs
- Band 2: £25,272 per annum pro rata, an enhanced hourly rate will be payable for unsocial hours
We are looking for one Domestic staff member to join the existing team to provide a high-quality cleaning service at Milton Keynes University Hospital Cancer Centre. The Centre will bring the hospital’s cancer and radiotherapy services under one roof in a modern dedicated space.
You will keep the Cancer Centre clean with general duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning the patient bed areas, sanitary fittings and emptying waste bins.

- Floor Cleaning Duties
- Suction clean & dust control sweeping
- Damp and wet mopping
- Deep Cleaning/Periodic Cleaning in accordance with hospital policy & work instruction
- Exit & Terminal Cleans in accordance with hospital policy & work instruction
- Curtain changes
- Cleaning of cleaning equipment and signage
