Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with the University of Buckingham, is a University Teaching Hospital; we conduct research and teaching on site to improve the care of our patients. The hospital is undergoing significant investment and development including a new surgical ward.

Job overview:

• Cleaning Assistant
• 30 hours per week
• Weekdays, Monday to Friday 10:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs
• Band 2: £25,272 per annum pro rata, an enhanced hourly rate will be payable for unsocial hours

We are looking for one Domestic staff member to join the existing team to provide a high-quality cleaning service at Milton Keynes University Hospital Cancer Centre. The Centre will bring the hospital’s cancer and radiotherapy services under one roof in a modern dedicated space.

You will keep the Cancer Centre clean with general duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning the patient bed areas, sanitary fittings and emptying waste bins.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities:

• Floor Cleaning Duties
• Suction clean & dust control sweeping
• Damp and wet mopping
• Deep Cleaning/Periodic Cleaning in accordance with hospital policy & work instruction
• Exit & Terminal Cleans in accordance with hospital policy & work instruction
• Curtain changes
• Cleaning of cleaning equipment and signage

• Experience of working in healthcare environment
