About us

Admiral Money is the dynamic lending arm of Admiral Group, offering personal loans, motor finance, and homeowner loans since 2017. We’re building something special for our customers and are looking for curious, driven individuals ready to learn, take on challenges, and make an impact.

The role

We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our dynamic Customer Accounts Team as a Customer Accounts Representative (CAR). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least 12 months of experience in bank reconciliation or payments to build on their existing knowledge and gain exposure to broader finance operations. This role is ideal for someone looking to build on their foundational finance experience, explore how payments and reporting drive business decisions, and grow within a supportive and fast-paced team.

Please note: This role is hybrid, with one fixed office day per week (typically Thursday). There may be occasions where additional office days are needed to support business requirements.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work at the heart of the business where money moves in and out every day.
  • Apply and expand your understanding of bank reconciliation, BACS processes, and financial accuracy.
  • Support day‑to‑day banking operations, including payments, suspense queues, and DCA posting.
  • Help manage invoices and purchase order processes, linking them to overall financial performance.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure correct payment and invoice information is shared and actioned.
  • Gain exposure to Bottom Line Reporting and commercial finance insights.
  • Suggest improvements and help shape better processes.
  • Be a go‑to contact for cross‑departmental queries, helping colleagues across the business navigate payment and invoice processes with clarity and confidence.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience in banking, payments, or a similar finance role.
  • A keen interest in finance, numbers, and business processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • Confidence to ask questions, collaborate with others, and get stuck in.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with Pan front & back office systems is desirable.

Admiral: Where You Can

  • Everyone receives 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) when they join, increasing to a maximum of 38 days (including bank holidays) the longer you stay.
  • Option to buy or sell up to an additional five days of annual leave.
  • Eligible for up to £3,600 of free shares each year after one year of service.

EEO and Disability Statement

We are fully committed to making sure your progression is not slowed or halted by barriers related to race, gender, age, sexuality or any of the protected characteristics. As a Disability Confident Leader, for candidates with a disability or long‑term health condition that opt into the Disability Confident scheme, we’ll invite a fair and proportionate number of applicants that meet the essential requirements of the role to the first stage of our selection process.
