Company description We are a small manufacturer of boat trailers and custom trailers, based in Dunkeswell, Devon, making road trailers & launching trolleys for sailing dinghies, ribs and other boats. With a small workforce we build trailers from raw steel. Cutting, drilling, bending and welding. The parts then go off for galvanising & are returned to us for assembly and delivery to a variety of trade and retail customers. The quality of the build is of paramount importance to comply with safety legislation & to retain & build a loyal customer base locally & nationwide. Job description Working as part of a small team & with initial guidance you would be cutting, drilling, bending, welding box section steel to established designs. Once galvanised, you would then be assembling parts into trailers ready for immediate use. You need to be reasonably fit as all members of the team are required to move steel sections, trailer parts and trailers. Applicant will preferably have a practical background in fabrication or similar & an ability to use a migwelder to a good standard is an advantage but not a necessity. All applicants must demonstrate an enthusiasm for the role & a keenness to learn & understand all aspects of the business.
