We are recruiting for a Senior Product Owner to join our Tech Department in Admiral Money. Tech Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a Senior Product Owner to act as the critical bridge between our business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. We are moving away from traditional siloes into a Squad and Chapter model. You will be the catalyst that turns business problems into well-defined technical solutions across our Cyber, IT Infrastructure, Platform, and IT Operations teams. In this role, you will handle the full spectrum of change requests (from small tactical fixes to strategic initiatives) helping us deliver the right solutions at the right time in a regulated FinTech environment. You won’t just be gathering requirements; you will be helping to design the service flow from initial build to long-term support.

We are building something special for our customers and are looking for curious, driven individuals ready to learn, take on challenges, and make an impact. We are proud to be a certified Great Place to Work for over 25 years, with recognition for Women and Wellbeing. Our inclusive culture empowers everyone to Be You.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Analysis & Translation: Act as the product owner for cross-functional squads (Cloud, Platform, and Cyber). Prioritise work based on business value, technical debt, and security risk. Ensure alignment between business needs, change processes and technical data solutions. Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements. Ask the difficult questions that prevent scope creep and misaligned solutions. Challenge pre-conceived solutions when necessary to ensure we are solving the right problem.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback. Build trusted relationships across the organisation. Manage expectations and communicate progress, blockers, and trade-offs. Facilitate conversations between non-technical business users and engineering teams.
- Planning & Coordination: Work with delivery squads to plan and prioritise work. Help size and sequence changes appropriately. Identify dependencies across Cyber, Infrastructure, Platform, and Operations. Keep things moving by proactively identifying and removing blockers.
- Process & Improvement: Help evolve how we intake, triage, and manage change delivery. Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement. Contribute to building lightweight governance that enables rather than constrains. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for TSS teams.
Skills & Experience
- Essential: Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role in a technical environment. Ability to grasp technical concepts and talk credibly with engineers. Excellent prioritisation skills, to ensure the squad understands and works on the most important items. Strong requirement gathering and analysis skills – you know how to dig beneath surface requests. Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Agile mindset – experienced in working within Scrum or Kanban frameworks and comfortable managing a fluid backlog. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to bring structure to unclear situations. Proactive problem-solver who unblocks rather than escalates. Experience with Jira/Confluence as a power user. Experience in leveraging Cloud technologies, such as AWS Cloud, GCP or Azure. Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Desirable: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Cyber, Business Administration. Experience in regulated industries (Financial Services, FinTech). Familiarity with IT operations, infrastructure, or cybersecurity domains. Understanding of change management in production environments. Exposure to ITIL or similar frameworks. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent. Certification Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
Benefits: Up to £3,600 of free shares each year after one year of service (for eligible colleagues). 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) on joining, increasing up to 38 days as tenure grows. Option to buy or sell up to an additional five days. Strong culture of work-life balance, recognised as a Great Place to Work for Women and Wellbeing. We are fully committed to ensuring progression is not slowed or halted by barriers related to race, gender, age, sexuality or any protected characteristic.
