Admiral Money is hiring! We’re looking for a Motor Underwriter who thrives in a fast‑paced and innovative environment. You’ll play a key role in shaping our new product offering, working closely with the Motor Underwriting team to ensure processes are efficient, effective, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You’ll manage your workload with accuracy and attention to detail, making informed decisions on applications submitted online or through dealerships. As our product range grows, you’ll support underwriting across additional areas, always maintaining high standards and meeting SLAs to ensure a positive and seamless customer journey. Key Responsibilities:- Checking applications meet criteria of requested product (dealer, digital and unsecured), assess ID&V tools, credit eligibility alongside affordability rationale.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Underwriting team supporting optimisation of policies and process.
- Support achieving KPIs and SLA’s.
- Ensure that best practice and expertise are shared across the operational teams and business where appropriate.
- Previous motor finance underwriting experience with a focus on positive customer outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator across all levels of the business.
- Professional telephony skills with experience engaging customers and dealers.
- Strong literacy and numeracy.

Your usual working hours for this role is 37.5 hours per week and working patterns are designed around customer demand. Business hours are between 08.00-20.00 Monday to Friday, 08.00-18.00 on Saturday and Sunday. Your specific shift pattern will be assigned by your line manager. When you work a Saturday or Sunday you are entitled to a day off in lieu in the week and you will always be given reasonable notice for any shift change.
