Admiral Money is the dynamic lending arm of Admiral Group, offering personal loans, motor finance, and homeowner loans since 2017. We’re building something special for our customers and are looking for curious, driven individuals ready to learn, take on challenges, and make an impact.
This 12‑month secondment/fixed term contract offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within the Customer Accounts Team. It is designed to support skill development across banking operations, payments, reconciliations, invoicing, and commercial finance insight. This role is hybrid, with one fixed office day per week (typically Thursday). There may be occasions where additional office days are needed to support business requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting daily banking and payment activities at the heart of the business.
- Assisting with bank reconciliation processes and learning how payments flow through our systems.
- Working on BACS, suspense queues, DCA posting, and wider payment operations.
- Managing and supporting the invoice and purchase order process.
- Gaining exposure to how financial performance links to operational processes, including Bottom Line Reporting.
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure accurate payment and invoice information is shared and actioned.
- Supporting write‑offs, suspense investigations, and resolving payment‑related queries.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and suggesting improvements.

Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a payments, invoicing, or finance administration role, or currently studying towards a recognised finance qualification (e.g., AAT Level 2 or above), with the ability to demonstrate accurate work with numerical or financial data through previous employment or academic study.
- A keen interest in finance, numbers, or business processes.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- A proactive approach, with confidence to ask questions and collaborate with others.
- Willingness to learn - full training will be provided.
- Familiarity with Pan front and back office systems (Desirable).
