The Opportunity
We are strengthening our UX research and service design team to elevate internal processes and experiences across Admiral. As a Service Designer focused on internal projects, your expertise will shape how we improve our systems, workflows, and employee journeys within the organisation.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Service Design for Internal Processes: Proven experience designing services that enhance internal workflows, systems, and operational efficiency within a large organisation.
- UX Research: Strong capability in both qualitative and quantitative research methods to deeply understand internal user needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Process Mapping & Systems Thinking: Expertise in mapping complex internal processes, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing user-centred improvements aligned with business objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, Operations, and senior leadership, advocating for user needs and facilitating consensus.
- Facilitation and Co-Design: Skilled at leading co-design workshops with internal stakeholders to generate ideas, prioritise solutions, and drive collaborative decision-making.
- Strategic Implementation: Demonstrated experience translating research and design insights into actionable recommendations, and supporting delivery teams as changes are rolled out.
- Communication: Effective at communicating complex processes and solutions to diverse audiences, adapting messaging for both technical and non-technical internal stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Passion for iterative design, measuring impact, and continuously refining internal services based on feedback and data.
- Collaboration: Track record of working successfully in multidisciplinary, agile environments, partnering with other designers, analysts, and internal clients.
Desirable Qualifications:
- An advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Human-Centred Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Organisational Psychology, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- + years in service design or user experience roles, with a focus on internal projects and business transformation.
- Experience navigating organisational change, regulatory requirements, and complex internal stakeholder landscapes.
