About The Role: Reporting to the Chief Insurance Officer, you will play a critical role in contributing to the strategic growth and financial success of a prominent player in the insurance industry. You'll be a key member of the team, leveraging your insights to drive strategic portfolio growth and development by applying a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques. Please note: this is a hybrid role, which will require working from our Cardiff office & London base at least twice a month each.

- Strategic underwriting: underwriting commercial motor policies, renewals and MTAs. Your decisions are informed by a comprehensive understanding of underwriting guidelines and industry best practices.
- Portfolio management: your keen eye for opportunity as well as relationship management ensures that our portfolio remains diverse, resilient, and aligned with our strategic objectives.
- Technical guidance: you will provide technical assistance on underwriting matters, ensuring that our decisions are grounded in sound underwriting principles.
- Policy development: you contribute to the creation and refinement of policy wordings and documentation, ensuring that they meet the needs of our customers and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Commercial motor expertise: your deep understanding of commercial motor insurance enriches our underwriting processes. You identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the board.
- Documentation management: your attention to detail ensures that our policy wordings and documentation are clear, accurate, and legally sound. You play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers and partners understand their coverage and obligations.
