This role requires a strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and enterprise data architecture.

As a technical leader, you will oversee the full lifecycle of MDM implementations – from requirements gathering and solution design to deployment and support. You will ensure alignment with best practices and standards, and collaborate closely with internal teams, contractors, and third-party vendors to deliver cohesive and integrated solutions.

Main Duties

  • Lead the design and implementation of MDM solutions using Informatica MDM.
  • Define and manage master data domains (e.g., customer, product, supplier) and ensure consistency across systems.
  • Configure match & merge rules, survivorship logic, and hierarchy management within Informatica.
  • Collaborate with data governance teams to enforce data quality and stewardship practices.
  • Develop and test integrations between Informatica MDM and other enterprise systems.
  • Promote and practice Test Driven Development and other delivery best practices.
  • Monitor progress against deliverables and proactively resolve technical issues.
  • Apply DevSecOps principles to ensure secure development and operations.
  • Actively contribute to Scrum ceremonies and Agile delivery processes.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer across the team.
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Address technical debt and recommend scalable, future-proof solutions.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with delivery leads and foster a culture of trust and creativity.

Experience Required

Behavioural

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to challenge and refine requirements.
  • Deep understanding of Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong influence across teams and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in mentoring and coaching team members.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to build trust and foster a collaborative team environment.

Technical

  • Mandatory hands-on experience with Informatica MDM, including configuration, data modeling, match & merge logic, and hierarchy management.
  • Strong understanding of MDM principles, data governance, and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience integrating Informatica MDM with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in REST APIs and web services development.
  • Experience with SQL and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL).
  • Familiarity with development tools (Git, Maven, npm).
  • Experience with unit testing and Object-Oriented Design.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably GCP or Azure).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (ideally Azure DevOps, JFrog).
  • Familiarity with containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Kibana, Heap, AppDynamics, GTM).
  • Understanding of security frameworks and tools.
  • Solid grasp of networking concepts (load balancing, firewalls, proxies).
  • Experience with identity management frameworks (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).
  • Exposure to AI and machine learning applications is a plus.
