The Role

We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Credit Strategy and Pricing Analyst to join our Unsecured Personal Loans (UPL) team, with a strong focus on Credit Risk modelling and Credit strategy with data-driven decision making.

This is an exciting opportunity for an analytically minded person with a passion for responsible lending and a solid background in UK retail credit. You will be a key contributor to the success of your team and a recognised expert Credit Risk Strategy. You will lead complex analyses, shape proposals, and influence decision-making across Risk Pricing & Portfolio Monitoring. You will also mentor junior colleagues, contribute to cross-functional initiatives, and help drive innovation and continuous improvement across the UPL function.

What You\\\’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the development and refinement of risk models, including PD, fraud, and death risk, using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Oversee the monitoring of portfolio performance, identifying key drivers of deviation from expected outcomes and communicating insights to stakeholders.
  • Ensure the accuracy and relevance of MI and reporting frameworks used to track risk performance.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and investigate deviations from expected outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies with business goals.
  • Coach and support junior analysts, sharing best practices and technical expertise.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and methodologies.

What We\\\’re Looking For

  • Several years of experience in an analytical role, ideally within UK retail credit (e.g., personal loans, credit cards, retail finance)
  • Proven ability to lead complex analyses and influence strategic decisions.
  • Strong technical skills and domain knowledge in credit, pricing, or risk
  • Strong SQL skills (essential); experience in Python or similar (desirable)
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and drawing actionable insights
  • Curiosity and confidence to question current practices and suggest improvements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
