We are looking for a Risk Manager to join our First Line Risk and Control team. The individual will be responsible for implementing and embedding Risk Event standards across all EUI business areas, in accordance with EUI’s risk management framework.
Reporting into the First Line Risk and Control Senior Manager, you will lead a small team who support Line 1 business areas with risk event management. A fundamental part of the role will be to create and embed an RCA process, and to produce key insight and analysis.
As part of a central risk function, you and your team will work closely with senior managers and risk owners to ensure that risk events are managed effectively, supporting good customer outcomes. You will be responsible for reporting on the state of risk events in EUI to relevant Working Groups and Committees. You will be an experienced risk professional who has a clear understanding of risk theory and customer outcomes.

Main Duties
- Lead a high performing, happy and talented team, with a strong culture. Ensuring ongoing professional development and day to day guidance and support is provided.
- Support the implementation and embedding of EUI’s risk event standards in Line 1 business areas.
- Support the timely opening, closing and assessment of risk events in EUI.
- Creation and implementation of a risk event RCA process, which drives improvements to control framework.
- Produce informative and timely reporting on risk event activity, including key insight and analysis.
- Attend risk working groups and committees to represent Line 1 Risk Management.
- Maintain a customer centric lens and support the delivery of good customer outcomes.
- Work closely with other teams in First Line Risk and Control on key risk management activity including Remediation, Control testing and Business Partnering.
- Foster strong working relationships with various stakeholders at all levels in the business to support with decision making based on risk and control profile.
- Help shape a robust risk management framework through regular contact with all Line 1 risk functions/ champions providing advice, support and challenge.
