Our Data Enablement Services Department plays a critical role in safeguarding and optimising data across the organisation. The Records Management team ensures that critical data is stored securely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations.

As a Records Management Specialist, you’ll support the Records Management Operations Lead within the Data Governance team. Your mission is to help manage and protect personal data, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and report from the Data Discovery platform (e.g., BigID).
  • Create clear documentation for Data Discovery processes used across departments.
  • Analyze outputs from Data Discovery tools and contribute to actionable insights.
  • Assist in training team members to enhance technical capabilities.
  • Maintain and improve data retention schedules.
  • Help identify and analyze data repositories across the organisation.
  • Advocate for data retention and minimisation across the business.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders confidently.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with data classification tools (BigID or similar).
  • Basic understanding of data management principles and GDPR compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt to challenges.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools; experience with BI tools is a plus.
