We’re currently recruiting for a Credit and Pricing Analyst to join our Unsecured Personal Loans (UPL) team – with a strong focus on affordability modelling, credit strategy, and data-driven decision making.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an analytically minded person with a passion for responsible lending and a solid background in UK retail credit. You’ll play a key role in evolving Admiral Money’s approach to affordability and lending decisions, helping us ensure we’re lending responsibly while driving commercial performance.
You’ll be hands-on with data, developing and refining affordability models, and working with the wider team to question the status quo – particularly around how we use data (including Open Banking) to make smarter, fairer decisions for our customers.

What You\’ll Be Doing

  • Building, maintaining and enhancing affordability models to ensure accurate and responsible lending decisions
  • Working with stakeholders across credit risk, pricing, product, and compliance to improve how we assess affordability
  • Challenging existing methodologies and driving innovation using new data sources like Open Banking
  • Supporting transformative initiatives that shape the future of Admiral Money’s credit strategy
  • Producing analysis and insight to inform lending criteria, pricing, and product decisions
  • Ensuring a customer-centric and compliant approach to lending in line with FCA expectations
  • Communicating your findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in an analytical role, ideally within UK retail credit (e.g., personal loans, credit cards, retail finance)
  • Understanding of affordability assessments, models, and the importance of responsible lending
  • Strong SQL skills (essential); experience in Python or similar (desirable)
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and drawing actionable insights
  • Curiosity and confidence to question current practices and suggest improvements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn – full technical training will be provided
