Overview
Admiral Insurance is seeking a skilled claims handler to join the Serious & Specialist Injury Teams within the Catastrophic & Serious Injury (CSI) Department. You will manage high-value motor claims with precision and care, handling complex claims and guiding customers through challenging times with professionalism and empathy.

Main Duties
- Assess each claim, considering indemnity, liability and quantum, and ensure investigation is conducted promptly with regard to the economics of the case.
- Effectively and proactively manage your caseload to enable timely settlement of claims.
- Demonstrate strong ownership of claims and commit to achieving the best results for Admiral.
- Understand and apply the reserve philosophy consistently; ensure the reserve on the file is considered throughout the life of the case.
- Refer claims to the relevant manager with appropriate proposals and action plans within expected time frames.
- Establish strong working relationships with suppliers and the legal panel where appropriate.
- Stay familiar with legal and industry updates affecting complex claims handling practices.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and the training programme as a whole.
- Commit to self-development outside of formal training.
- Attend out-of-hours appointments when necessary to gain full understanding of a claim and facilitate economical settlement.
- Be a positive presence on the team and in the wider department.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Experience managing a portfolio of motor claims valued in excess of £100,000 independently, with exposure to claims valued up to £500k+
- Strong indemnity and liability knowledge
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and resilient with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for a career handling high-value motor claims and commitment to ongoing professional development
