The Solution Architect will be responsible for shaping pragmatic, scalable and secure solution designs across public cloud services, system integration, and web and mobile application architecture.
The role will focus on server-side architecture, integration patterns, and the design of solutions that support business outcomes while aligning with technology standards, delivery needs and architectural governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document solution architectures for web and mobile applications, with a particular focus on server-side architecture.
- Design solutions that make effective use of public cloud services and support scalable, secure and maintainable delivery.
- Shape integration approaches across systems, including synchronous and asynchronous integration architectures where appropriate.
- Work with stakeholders, engineering teams and delivery teams to translate business and technical requirements into clear solution designs.
- Provide architectural guidance throughout delivery, supporting design decisions, trade-offs and technical issue resolution.
- Contribute to architecture governance and assurance activities, ensuring solution designs align with agreed standards and principles.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies and constraints, and support pragmatic decision-making to enable successful delivery.
- Collaborate across technical and business teams to ensure solutions are well understood, deliverable and aligned to intended outcomes.

They will bring a collaborative approach, sound technical judgement and the ability to balance strategic architecture direction with delivery realities.
- Working arrangements
- This is a remote role, with an expectation to attend the Ty Admiral Cardiff office once per month or as and when required.
Benefits
Everyone receives 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) when they join us, increasing the longer you stay with us, up to a maximum of 38 days (including bank holidays).
