You’ll own the vision for Veygo's customer experience across web and mobile, ensuring every interaction feels intuitive, connected and unmistakably Veygo. As our most senior designer, you’ll shape how customers experience our products from first discovery through to long-term engagement, creating experiences that build trust, loyalty and lasting customer relationships.
Working across Product, Engineering, Marketing and Data, you’ll define the design vision for Veygo, evolving our design system, raising the quality of customer experiences and helping teams create products that feel like one seamless experience rather than a collection of individual journeys.
Why this role matters
As Principal Product Designer, you’ll set the direction for design across one of Veygo's most important strategic capabilities. You’ll have the autonomy to shape our customer experience vision, influence product strategy and establish the design standards that enable teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences at scale. This is a leadership role built on influence rather than authority. You’ll bring Product, Engineering and Marketing together around a shared vision for customer experience, creating clarity from complexity while balancing consistency, innovation and speed. Through strong design leadership, systems thinking and customer insight, you’ll help ensure every product we build feels simple, connected and distinctly Veygo.
You’ll be successful in this role if you:
- Create intuitive, connected experiences that help customers move seamlessly across web and mobile.
- Raise the quality of customer experience, interaction design and visual craft across multiple product teams.
- Build and evolve a design system that enables teams to move faster while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Bring Product, Engineering and Marketing together around a shared customer experience vision.
- Think beyond individual features, designing complete customer journeys that strengthen trust and engagement.
- Coach and develop designers, helping raise the quality of design thinking and execution across the organisation.
What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience designing consumer digital products across web and mobile, with a track record of shaping customer experience across complex product ecosystems.
- Strong systems thinking, connecting customer journeys, product experience and brand into a cohesive end-to-end experience.
- Exceptional product judgement, interaction design and visual craft, with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality consumer experiences.
- Experience leading and evolving design systems that support multiple teams while accelerating product development.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear thinking, compelling communication and a strong design vision.
- Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Data to solve complex customer problems and deliver measurable customer outcomes.
- A coaching mindset that raises the quality of design thinking, helping teams navigate ambiguity and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Curiosity to embrace AI and modern design tools to improve discovery, collaboration and design quality while always focusing on customer outcomes.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience leading design within a consumer business such as fintech, insurance, ecommerce, marketplaces, travel or mobility.
- Experience designing products for younger consumer audiences.
- Experience establishing design standards, design systems or communities of practice across multiple teams.
- Experience balancing brand, customer experience and commercial objectives within a fast-moving digital business.
