The role contributes directly to the reliability, efficiency, control and auditability of key reporting outputs.

This position will take real responsibility and ownership for the system’s current state and future direction, identifying, evaluating and leading opportunities to improve automation, reporting efficiency, user experience, controls and scalability across the finance systems landscape.

You’ll be reporting directly to the Senior Group Finance Systems Manager, and your role will allow you to work collaboratively with senior Finance, IT, transformation, end-user and vendor stakeholders to influence system direction, agree priorities, resolve competing requirements and support effective decision-making.

Main Duties
  • Lead the day-to-day management of the suite of Tagetik modules, ensuring the modules function appropriately, continue to meet business end-user needs and support reliable Group-wide finance reporting outputs.
  • Take end-to-end accountability for prioritising, shaping and delivering the Tagetik roadmap, ensuring the platform remains fit for purpose and aligned to Group Finance requirements, while coordinating activity across relevant stakeholders including the Group finance transformation team and end users.
  • Own the design, governance and performance of enhancement testing, documenting outcomes and communicating impacts to end users and relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain and take ownership for robust system governance and documentation, including change control, access, testing and controls, ensuring alignment to Group policies and supporting reliable, auditable and compliant Group Finance reporting processes.
  • Lead technical support and troubleshooting for system users, resolving issues across process, data, controls and technology, with a focus on protecting data integrity and continuity of critical reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with external third parties and vendors to facilitate system upgrades, updates and enhancements, managing vendor activity where required and ensuring changes are delivered effectively.
  • Provide technical leadership across finance systems workstreams, coordinating matrix teams and stakeholders to own delivery plans, resolve competing priorities and ensure outcomes are achieved.
Essential Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Tagetik (or similar platform) in a configuration, admin or development function, ideally within a complex Group Finance reporting environment.
  • Confident in enhancing and designing Tagetik solutions (or similar), with the ability to assess system dependencies, data flows, integrations, controls and reporting impacts.
  • Experience in leading system implementation projects or finance systems workstreams, including coordinating delivery plans, stakeholders, testing and change activity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, vendors and end users.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, exercising autonomy, judgement and technical leadership in a senior specialist capacity.
  • Proficient in SQL; writing complex queries, troubleshooting data issues and supporting data integrity across critical reporting processes.

  • Accounting / Finance background (through experience or qualification).
  • Experience in finance services / insurance.
  • Exposure to APIs and system integrations.
