The Role

As a Business Analyst, you will help simplify and improve how our Risk, Internal Audit, Finance and People Experience teams work. You will remove friction from processes, improve data quality and accessibility and help introduce practical Data and Technology solutions that make day‐to‐day work easier and more efficient. You will work closely with each team to understand how they operate, identify problems worth solving and support the design and delivery of solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Work with teams to map processes, understand pain points and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Shape clear problem statements and success measures.
  • Translate business needs into user stories, process maps, simple models and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with Technology and Data teams to design solutions across workflow, integrations, reporting and automation.
  • Support UAT and ensure smooth rollout and early‐life support.
  • Create and deliver training, communications and simple guidance for users.
  • Track adoption, gather feedback and monitor value delivered.

  • A prioritised backlog of opportunities with clear value.
  • Process maps and data flow diagrams.
  • User stories, acceptance criteria and UAT results.
  • Training materials, run books and adoption plans.

Skills and Experience Required

Essential Skills:

  • Strong business analysis skills including facilitation, process mapping, requirements gathering and UAT support.
  • Confidence discussing system architecture, APIs, integrations and release processes.
  • Experience with Jira.
  • Good data literacy, including understanding data structure, data quality and privacy considerations.
  • Awareness of how AI can support business processes, with the judgement to know when it is the right or wrong tool.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate business processes into clear technical requirements.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Financial Control/FP and A or HR operations.
  • Understanding of UK or EU financial services regulation.
  • Basic Python or SQL skills.
