We are looking for an experienced Pipefitter / Welder with extensive knowledge of pipework fabrication and installation.
The ideal candidate will have experience across a range of pipework systems and processes and be competent in welding, including TIG, MAG and orbital welding.
Skill Requirements
- Strong understanding of safe working practices
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
- Ability to work from P&IDs and schematics
- Ability to read and work from isometric drawings
- Measuring, draughting and sketching ability
- Material take-offs
- Traceability and weld log experience
- Polypropylene butt fusion, socket fusion and electrofusion
- Pressure testing, including hydrostatic and pneumatic testing
- Basic plumbing skills
Preferred but Not Essential Skills
- Medical gas brazing, including copper and brass
- MMA welding experience
- Oxy-fuel cutting and profiling
- Pipe preparation and cutting
- CSWIP 3.0 Welding Inspection
Certificates / Qualifications
Ideally, candidates will hold:
- NVQ Level 3 in Pipework Fabrication or Welding, or City & Guilds equivalent
- CSCS Gold Card or higher
- Full UK driving licence
- Safety Passport preferred
Day-to-Day Activities
Depending on the scope of work, the role may involve working in our factory, on local sites or travelling to projects further afield.
We expect all employees to communicate and liaise professionally with clients, representatives and engineers, and to represent the company to a high standard at all times.
