To be responsible for purchasing combinable crops and selling quality seed and fertiliser products along with promoting ADM Agriculture’s quality technical services to farmers. Managing and supporting existing accounts along with building relationships and procuring business with new accounts.
Main Responsibilities
- To purchase grain, oilseeds and pulses from farmer customers trading with existing accounts and developing new business.
- To negotiate contracts with farmers within the terms and price range given by ADM Traders.
- To sell seed and fertiliser products to both existing accounts and procuring new business.
- Actively promote campaigns in liaison with the Retail department.
- To follow up on business enquiries providing outstanding customer service.
- To utilise company information and promote technical services to farmers.
- To manage workload effectively to maximise account and business potential.
- To operate and conduct our business in an environmentally sensitive and sustainable way.
- To undertake daily tasks in line with requirements of the Company's Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Seek and provide ideas to improve company performance in accordance with the EMS.
Knowledge
- To have an excellent understanding of combinable crops, OSR, pulses and their uses/markets.
- To understand AIC and FOSFA grain contracts.
- Knowledge of seed varieties and dressings.
- Knowledge of fertiliser types and their uses.
Experience
- Arable farming understanding.
- Building relationships.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft IT software – Outlook, Word, Excel and utilising skills into using bespoke systems.
Capabilities
