An opportunity has arisen for a Site Operative based in Edinburgh, UK. This is a multi-functional role covering several areas of the production and site operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, the main purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient operation of all production, whilst also supporting other site functions such as weighbridge, laboratory and hygiene. The individual must ensure that all health & safety, quality and food safety standards are met and exceeded at all times, as set by the company. The role is a fixed shift pattern which involves 12 hours shifts over a 7 day period.

  • Maintain accurate records as detailed in each area for performance and hygiene purposes.
  • Undertake any necessary training in order to fulfil job requirements.
  • Support the site’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure milling downtime is minimised to ensure optimum plant efficiency.
  • Carry out food safety checks.
  • Laboratory testing of flour and wheat samples.
  • Cleaning and hygiene requirements.
  • Employ a clean as you go policy including the removal of waste to the allocated area.
