The predicted salary is between 35100 - 42900 £ per year.
We have a vacancy to join our Engineering Team on Night Shifts. Hours will be:
- 22.00 to 06.10 hours, Monday to Thursday, with a 30-minute unpaid break per day (7 hours and 40 minutes per day);
- 20.20 to 03.40 hours on Fridays, with a 30-minute unpaid break per day (6 hours and 50 minutes).
Please note that occasional days, early or late shift cover may also be required to attend training, or cover holiday/absence of other shift engineers.
Your Responsibilities
- To assist the Engineering Manager with continuous improvement, by recommending changes that could prolong machine life, increase efficiency, reduce wastage and aid the smooth running of departments.
- Carry out Preventative Maintenance as required.
- Carry out Corrective Action as required.
- Liaising with any departments as necessary, to ensure the smooth running of the production facility and minimizing downtime by prioritizing engineering issues.
- Ensure that documentation for Corrective Action and Preventative Maintenance is filled out correctly.
- Assist with facilities Maintenance and Development.
Your Profile
- The ideal candidate will have experience working as an engineer within a production/manufacturing environment, but this is not essential.
- Experience working in a GMP regulated facility or similar (BRC, ISO 9001, BETA NOPS) is desirable but not essential.
- Candidates must also have a good level of IT knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams) to operate the ERP system and ideally have an interest in future technology and equipment, to ensure our business continues as a state-of-the-art manufacturer.
- You should have good problem-solving skills, with the ability to create and adapt.
- A multiskilled engineer with an electrical bias.
