An opportunity has arisen for a Dairy Derivatives Broker to work within the agricultural commodities department, focusing on Dairy Sales and Brokerage, driving strategy growth, and building key customer relationships. The position oversees market development, identifies new commercial opportunities, and ensures strong sales performance across agricultural product lines. It requires deep industry insight, and the ability to perform in a high performing brokerage team toward ambitious targets.
Your Responsibilities
- Agricultural Commodities Brokerage
- Help the Agricultural Commodities sales initiative across all products
- Provide detailed sales analysis and forecasts
- Achieve sales goals to meet performance targets
- Build new relationships and expand the customer base
- Maintain and grow existing customer relationships to maximise commercial opportunities
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts whilst being aware of new products and competition status
- Liaise internally with relevant departments to enable continued service to the client
- Report issues and customer needs to the Head of Agricultural Commodity Sales and Brokerage
- Collaborate with and support the wider ADMISI Business lines
- To maintain a continuous awareness of customer positions and margin situation
- Act as the first line of defence in terms of KYC/AML & Financial Crime matters
- Always act in the clients best interests first and foremost
Dairy Specialist
- Serve as the organisation’s Dairy product specialist and primary referral point for the Desk, providing expert market insights and supporting sales strategy.
- Undertake research and produce relevant Market Reports in line with the Dairy sales initiative.
- Represent the Company at Dairy conferences, functions and events.
Your Profile
- 4+ years working in the Derivatives markets
- Deep understanding of Dairy market and the fundamentals that govern them
- Knowledge of derivatives and hedging strategies
- Existing client base an advantage
- Committed to continuous learning & development
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and the ability to take initiative when required
- Account management, sales and income generation
- Team player - need to be able to integrate with existing team
- Working knowledge of systems such as Fidessa, Reuters/Bloomberg, ICE Connect and CME direct an advantage
- Ability to be flexible and to work under pressure, especially when markets are busy
- Hardworking - being prepared to work long hours and UK holidays when required
- Certified Person under SM&CR (formerly FCA Controlled function 30) or equivalent an advantage - not essential
