An opportunity has arisen for a Banks Relationship Senior Associate, EMEA within the Structured Trade Finance (STF) team based in London. Reporting to the Head of EMEA Distribution, you will be required to assist in building and maintaining client relationships with investor banks and other potential financial partners in the EMEA region, assessing their appetite for trade related assets generated by the business. You will be responsible for expanding the trade related assets origination and distribution capacity of the group and sell on a without recourse the structured trades products managed by the STF unit.

Your Responsibilities

  • To support the origination and distribution transactions in the EMEA region.
  • Responsible for supporting the growth of the business in the EMEA region.
  • To support Head of EMEA Distribution in building, maintaining and optimizing client relationships with existing and new distribution banks and non-bank FIs in the EMEA region; representing ADM.
  • Collaborate with STF operations team as well as other originators and distributors, structuring and peers in other regions.
  • Negotiate documents (agreements and confirmations) that enable sales on a without recourse basis, protecting ADM’s reputation.
  • Successful origination and distribution of trade finance and commodity related assets generated by the group and ADM units.
  • Provide pricing and market feedback to the STF team.
  • Dedicated focus on innovation ideas and development of new product strategies.
  • Desire and ability for frequent regional and international travels as the business may require.
  • Operate within strong guidelines and standard operating procedures defined by the STF unit and ADM group.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Economics/Finance/Business (or similar).
  • Experience in a financial sector (ideally trade finance in a bank and/or a well recognised trading organization).
  • Good understanding of various countries economical and political risks as well as corporate credit and financial institution risk.
  • Ability to bring a network of origination/distribution banks in the region.
  • Experience of working with UCP 600 and commodity finance products.
  • Understanding of trade, corporate lending as well as treasury activities.
  • Self-motivated, willingness to constantly innovate and seek new ways to support the activities of the group.
  • Highly numerate, ability to grasp complex financial products & transactions.
  • Passion for learning new products and skills and drive change when needed.
  • Ability to influence at different levels within (business units) and outside the organization (banks).
  • Very open minded and team oriented with a desire to succeed as a group.
  • Strong business acumen, commercial instinct and opportunity driven.
