Laboratory Technician – Southport, NC
This is a full-time, salary non-exempt position with rotating 12-hour shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine analytical testing procedures accurately and timely
- Use analytical results and feedback to determine calibration needs and adjustments for test equipment
- Record and compile test results to prepare graphs, charts, and reports as required
- Communicate results to internal/external customers via COAs, verbal, or written documentation
- Provide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance with standards and policies, and communicate deviations to Lab Techs and management
- Schedule and execute sample submissions to external laboratories and document external testing results
- Provide ongoing training and process improvement ideas for Lab Techs on evening shifts
- Conduct routine quality control testing and maintain accurate QA records
- Maintain a safe, sanitary laboratory environment
- Participate actively in quality, food safety, and safety programs
- Support the QFS Manager by verifying inventory of testing supplies and maintaining cleanliness

Additional Details:
Background checks are required. The pay range is $41,600 – $71,000, depending on factors such as experience and location. Overtime pay applies for qualifying hours.
