An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer based in Little Walden. The main purpose of the role is to provide electro-mechanical support for our baking, mixing and packing lines, producing baked products and powder blends. Also, general site maintenance and basic fabrication works.
Work Hours: Mon β Thu 08:00 β 17:00, Fri 07:00 β 16:00.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure supervision and safe operating procedures for visiting contractors
- To maintain Health & Safety rules and regulations
- To identify potential hazards/risks to the Health & Safety Manager/responsible person upon discovery
- To ensure all PPM schedules are completed and developed using predictive and diagnostic maintenance techniques
- To initiate improvement plans in a pragmatic and proactive manner
- To assist the engineering department in achieving its budget targets through the efficient use of materials and replacement parts
- To follow the correct accounting/authorisation process when ordering replacement parts
- Maintain and improve standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of the factory
- To undertake emergency breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient way on all production equipment
Education & Experience:
- FMCG experience
- Stick, TIG and MIG welding ideally
- Working knowledge of PPM systems
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding diagnostics and resolution experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fork lift license
- Demonstrate team skills with a positive attitude and professional approach
- DSEAR/ATEX experience
- Dedicated and enthusiastic individual, who can demonstrate strong team working, problem-solving and communication skills
