Role Overview
The General Manager is responsible for the overall commercial and operational performance of the Crompton Lamps contract and the Newcastle warehouse operation.
The role provides strategic leadership across sales, customer service, warehouse operations, logistics, health and safety, financial performance, and people management.
The postholder will ensure the continued growth and profitability of the Crompton Lamps contract while maintaining an efficient, safe, and high-performing warehouse operation that consistently delivers excellent customer service and operational excellence.

Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Commercial Management
- Lead the commercial performance of the Crompton Lamps contract based in Bradford.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and profitability targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for business growth, contract development, and market expansion.
- Monitor sales performance through KPIs and provide regular reports to senior management..
- Operations Management
- Take full operational responsibility for the warehouse facility on Scotswood Road, Newcastle.
- Ensure efficient warehouse operations including goods receiving, storage, stock control, order fulfilment, dispatch, and distribution.
- Develop operational procedures that support business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure warehouse resources are effectively planned to meet business demand.
- Monitor operational KPIs including productivity, accuracy, service levels, and inventory performance.
