We’re looking for a dynamic and commercially minded Commercial Finance Manager to act as a strategic partner to our client services team in Bristol. You’ll work closely with the Business Director and operational teams to drive financial performance, improve efficiencies, and support decision‑making across key blue‑chip client accounts. This is a highly visible role involving client‑facing financial reporting, contract negotiations, forecasting, and the management of a small remote team. You’ll also be part of our wider global finance team, contributing to robust financial governance and performance insight across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Own monthly internal financial reporting across key client accounts, including volumes, profitability, working capital, KPIs, risks, and trends.
- Drive profit improvement plans and monitor their implementation.
- Develop and maintain annual client account plans and financial forecasts, including regular reforecasting.
- Support commercial negotiations, contract renewals, and prepare financial modelling and analysis.
- Deliver clear and insightful external financial reports for client stakeholders.
- Present financial performance in client meetings and manage credit control escalations.
- Ensure operational systems reconcile with accounting systems and support accurate reporting.
- Enforce compliance with internal controls and policies, including FX, VAT, and budgeting standards.
- Oversee FP&A processes for the EMEA region, ensuring data integrity and governance.
- Identify and drive improvements to financial and operational processes, including automation opportunities.
- Act as a business partner to Business Directors and client service teams.
- Support operational teams in interpreting financial data and understanding commercial implications.
- Lead and develop junior finance team members.
- Contribute to broader financial control and reporting initiatives across the business.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Fully qualified accountant (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in finance, commercial or accounting roles.
- Experience in a marketing, agency, or outsourcing environment is a plus.
- Strong systems and Excel skills (Sage experience desirable).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proactive, commercially aware, and results‑driven.
- Strong team player with a customer‑centric and solution‑oriented mindset.
