Description

The role will be solely responsible for the management and statutory accounting for a number of group holding companies, as well as closely supporting the Group Reporting Manager to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of consolidated accounts and associated in line with the Group’s policies, procedures and controls. It will also help manage, develop and administer our general ledger system and associated reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  1. Preparation of group holding company reporting packs, including P&L and BS analytical reviews & BS reconciliations.
  2. Monthly Consolidation entries.
  3. Manage the intercompany matrix and help resolve associated variances.
  4. Perform the FX revaluation exercise for the group.
  5. Other month-end, quarter-end, year-end and ad-hoc reporting and analysis tasks.
  6. Support the annual group consolidation accounts preparation and audit process.
  7. Assist the finance community with any general ledger queries.
  8. Gatekeeper of the global chart of accounts.
  9. General ledger user maintenance.

Skills and Experience

  1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  2. Fluent English.
  3. Good level of IT literacy, particularly in Excel.
  4. Ideally ~1 year experience within a group accounting role.
  5. Strong technical accounting skills.
  6. Problem-solving capabilities.
  7. Self-starter with a ‘can do’ and flexible attitude, with the gravitas to make a positive impact at all levels of the business.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
  9. Enthusiastic and articulate.
