Wholesale Body Jewellery is a long-established, family-owned B2B supplier to the tattoo and piercing industry. We supply studios across the UK and beyond with body jewellery, piercing supplies and tattoo equipment, across our own brands including Moth, Ti Couture, SteriPierce and Tanto, alongside the leading names in the trade.
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to lead all marketing for the wholesale side of the business. It is a broad, hands-on, digitally led role. You will own the plan, deliver the work, manage the team, and coordinate the agencies, with a clear focus on growing the business profitably. This is a varied role across the full marketing mix rather than a single channel. You will be as comfortable setting direction as rolling your sleeves up, and happy to learn our industry and our customers inside out.
What you will do:
- Plan and deliver marketing across SEO, paid search and paid social, email and CRM, content and e-commerce
- Own the e-commerce marketing activity on Shopify, including product launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns
- Lead, manage and develop the marketing team, setting standards, prioritising workload and supporting performance
- Brief, coordinate and hold our external agencies to account, getting strong, accountable work and real value from the spend
- Track and report on performance, and turn the numbers into clear opportunities for growth
- Build and run an affiliate programme aimed at studios and influencers
- Keep the brands consistent and on point across every customer touchpoint
- Support wider business projects, product launches and trade events as needed
What we are looking for:
A broad, digitally-led marketing generalist who can also lead a team. Strong across the digital disciplines, commercially minded, and confident managing both people and projects. We are not looking for a specialist in every one of the areas below. We want someone with a solid working knowledge of each, and a real understanding of how they fit together, who can set the direction, manage the specialists and agencies who go deep, and roll their sleeves up where it counts.
Key skills and experience:
- SEO
- Paid search and paid social (PPC)
- Email and CRM
- Content marketing
- E-commerce (Shopify)
- Web analytics and reporting
- Affiliate marketing
- Social media (useful, but not the priority for this role)
People management:
People management is a real part of this role, not a bolt-on. You will be leading a team, so we want genuine evidence of managing, mentoring, setting standards and handling performance well.
Useful but not essential:
Experience of trade shows and events (we run around 15 a year), and any exposure to B2B, jewellery, fashion, piercing or tattoo. Industry knowledge is a nice to have. A genuine willingness to learn the industry deeply is essential.
About you:
- Has a demonstrable track record of delivery, with real examples of what you personally shipped and the results
- Has excellent attention to detail, in your work and in your application
- Is happy to muck in and make sure things do not fall through the cracks
- Treats the role as their own to grow, and can be trusted to run with something unsupervised
- Is fully committed to delivering great product with great service, and to growing the business
What we offer:
A starting salary of £40-50k (with a room for negotiation for the right person) as well as a great benefits package, company events, free parking and a health and wellbeing programme. Please bear in mind that this role is fully office based in Poole throughout the probation period (6 months). Upon completing a probation the employer may offer some working from home however this role will always be more office based.
