Are you a commercially minded Account Director who enjoys growing client relationships as much as delivering exceptional work? We’re looking for an experienced Account Director to join a well-established digital performance agency where you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts, shape digital strategy and identify opportunities to grow revenue through additional services. Operating as a predominantly remote business, the team comes together in person around once per quarter.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with specialists across website development, SEO, AEO, CRO, analytics and digital media, helping clients achieve stronger results while building long-term partnerships. This role would suit an Account Director who enjoys the strategic side of client services but is equally comfortable getting into the detail. You’ll need to be commercially aware, highly organised and confident working directly with both clients and internal specialists.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead a portfolio of client relationships, becoming a trusted adviser and a valued extension of your clients’ marketing teams.
  • Develop strategic plans, identify opportunities to grow accounts through cross-selling and upselling additional services, and help clients get greater value from their digital investment.
  • Play a key role in driving account growth while ensuring commercial performance remains strong.
  • Coordinate activity, challenge thinking and ensure campaigns and projects are delivered to a consistently high standard.
  • Analyse performance data, develop actionable insights and present clear recommendations to clients.
  • Simplify complex information and help clients understand where opportunities exist.
  • Be organised, efficient and comfortable managing the detail as well as the bigger picture.
  • Lead colleagues within each client team, build strong internal relationships and adapt your communication style to suit different audiences and situations.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Experience working in an Account Director or similar client leadership role within a digital agency.
  • Proven success growing client accounts through cross-selling and upselling services.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing account profitability.
  • Exposure to website design and development projects.
  • Experience working alongside SEO, AEO, CRO and analytics specialists.
  • Understanding of digital media strategy and campaign planning.
  • Ability to analyse performance data and turn insights into recommendations.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Hands-on digital campaign experience would be advantageous.

What you’ll get in return for your experience

  • A competitive salary alongside a bonus scheme, enhanced holiday allowance, pension scheme, life insurance and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • The agency operates a predominantly remote working model, with the team typically meeting in person once per quarter for planning, collaboration and social events.
  • Additional benefits include a monthly gym contribution, employee assistance programme, annual eye tests, referral scheme and free parking when attending the office.
  • You’ll join a collaborative environment where you’ll have genuine influence over client growth, agency success and your own career development.
