We’re partnering with a brilliant independent digital agency looking for an Account Director to join their East London team. Think small, smart, creative studio energy. No endless hierarchy. No being one of twenty people on an account. Just good people, interesting digital projects and clients who actually care about what they’re building.

As Account Director, you’ll be right in the middle of it all – leading client relationships, shaping projects, working closely with developers and helping bring digital experiences to life. If you’ve come from a larger network agency and you’re craving more ownership, closer collaboration and a seat nearer the action, keep reading.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll own key client relationships and become the person clients trust to make things happen.
  • This is not a “sit back and run status calls” type of Account Director role. You’ll be deeply involved in digital delivery – managing website builds, keeping projects on track, working alongside developers, translating technical conversations into clear actions and making sure clients feel confident every step of the way.
  • You’ll help scope projects, manage timelines and budgets, navigate moving parts and spot challenges before they become problems.
  • You’ll also work closely with the founders on proposals, new opportunities and helping shape how the agency continues to grow.
  • It’s a proper hybrid role – part strategic client lead, part delivery expert, part trusted partner.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Experience as an Account Director/Senior Project Manager or similar role within a digital, creative or integrated agency.
  • Strong digital background – websites, platforms, digital products or technical delivery.
  • Comfortable working closely with developers and technical teams.
  • Experience managing website builds or complex digital projects.
  • Strong client management skills with the confidence to guide conversations and manage expectations.
  • Commercial awareness across budgets, timelines and project scope.
  • Someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and being close to the work.

What you’ll get in return for your experience

You’ll join a genuinely lovely boutique agency with an innovative client base spanning culture, creative, tech and purpose-led brands. The work is varied, thoughtful and properly digital. You’ll have real influence, direct access to founders and the chance to play a meaningful role in a business where your voice will be heard. The agency works on a hybrid basis with 3 days a week in their East London studio. Salary is competitive depending on experience, with additional benefits on offer.
