Do you have solar installation experience? If not, do you have other mechanical, electrical experience and keen to take advantage of full training. We’re looking for someone with team leadership experience to join an ethical, quality-driven specialist working onsite on exciting projects (1kW to 4.5MW) across the Bristol area and beyond. They’re dedicated to accelerating the UK’s transition to clean energy, reducing customer costs and future-proofing their energy solutions.

What skills you’ll be needing

  • Ideally 5+ years’ experience in solar installation or a mechanical, electrical installation role.
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Valid driver’s licence (required).
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Strong digital skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.Ability to travel when required.

What you’ll be doing

As a lead installer you will be responsible for installing solar panels on commercial properties in line with safety regulations and standards. You’ll be involved in all stages of an installation project, from inception to completion, including project planning and preparing risk assessments and method statements. They’ll need you to have led a team onsite delivering high quality installations, communicating effectively in a calm, approachable and professional manner. You will be involved in assessing locations for suitability, measuring and marking out installation areas, preparing surfaces, mounting and installing solar panels, maintaining accurate records of completed work and materials used and testing the systems. This role is very much onsite and will require travel and flexibility.
