About Evo
Evo is a digital agency specialising in technically robust, commercially effective websites and ecommerce platforms. Founded in 2008, we’ve grown into a multidisciplinary team of approximately 30 specialists across development, UX/UI, ecommerce, CRO and search marketing. We’ve delivered over 1,000 websites and supported more than £200m in online transactions. We work with established national brands and ambitious growing businesses. We are focused on steadily raising the creative quality of everything we produce, and this role plays an important part in that.
About the role
We’re looking for a midweight Digital or UX/UI Designer who wants to produce high-quality work and continue developing their craft. This is a hands‑on role designing websites, improving user journeys, building interface systems and supporting both client projects and Evo’s own brand. You’ll work closely with developers, marketers and leadership. You’ll present work internally and occasionally to clients, with support where needed. Over time, you’ll grow in confidence and responsibility.
What you’ll be doing
- Client Work (majority of your time)
- Design website concepts, page templates and UI components
- Improve and extend existing ecommerce and lead‑generation platforms
- Apply UX thinking to real‑world commercial projects
- Work collaboratively with developers to ensure quality implementation
- Support pitch work and new ideas when required
Our projects often involve structured content, ecommerce catalogues and technical integrations. You don’t need to know everything, but you must be comfortable designing within real constraints.
Evo Brand & Marketing
- Contribute to evolving Evo’s website and marketing materials
- Help maintain organised Figma files, components and shared assets
- Support content and campaign ideas visually
What we’re looking for
- Experience in a digital or UX/UI design role (agency preferred)
- A portfolio showing multi‑page websites and interface work
- Strong Figma skills
- Solid understanding of mobile‑first and responsive design
- Good communication skills and willingness to present work
- Collaborative mindset and respect for technical teams
- High standards and attention to detail
- (Desirable) Interest in using AI‑assisted tools to streamline workflows.
What you’ll get in return
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Flexible health and wellbeing benefits
- EV salary sacrifice scheme
- Hybrid working (At least 2 days per week working in our Taunton office)
- Clear opportunity to progress into a more senior design role
You’ll be joining a collaborative, pragmatic agency environment where good work is valued and ideas are taken seriously.
