A growing, independent market-leader within the energy sector are looking for a talented BI professional to join their growing team near to St Helens (45 min commute from Warrington, Liverpool and Manchester). They’re looking for someone with excellent Qlik Cloud (Qlik Sense SaaS) skills to take ownership of their BI solutions and help them to shape data-driven decision making within the business.
They’re looking for people to be based at least 3 days a week in their office.
What skills you'll be needing- Experience in a BI Developer or Analyst role, with a focus on Qlik Sense SaaS / Qlik Cloud.
- Ability to build, publish, and optimise complex dashboards and apps in Qlik.
- Strong understanding of data modelling principles, scripting, and set analysis in Qlik.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying from various sources (e.g., Excel, APIs, databases).
- Strong business acumen and the ability to turn data into strategic insights.
- Familiarity with data security, governance, and performance tuning within a BI environment.
- Experience working in energy/utilities, consulting, or data-rich environments is a plus.
They will look to you to design, develop and deploy high impact BI dashboards, reports and data models using Qlik Cloud (Qlik Sense SaaS). You’ll work with stakeholders to define requirements, develop BI solutions and give advice on data strategy, visualization best practices and performance optimization. In addition, you’ll assist with data integration and ETL processes with the IT and data teams identifying opportunities for analytics-driven improvements across the business. Their mission to help businesses to reduce energy costs and drive sustainability is powered by smart data and insight-led solutions. They’re always looking to invest in a more mature business intelligence function to support strategic decision-making in everything they do.
