I am looking for a Principal Process Development Engineer to join a pioneering organisation on a mission to transform materials and processes for a sustainable future. They focus on developing and commercialising ground-breaking technologies that rethink how materials are made, used, and reused - combining science, innovation, and environmental purpose. With a rapidly evolving R&D and scale-up pipeline, they’re looking to grow their expert team to deliver real-world impact across industries.
What You Will Be Doing?
As the Principal Process Development Engineer, you’ll lead the development, optimisation, and scale-up of novel chemical processes from lab bench to commercial deployment. You’ll guide projects from concept through pilot-scale, managing process design, risk assessments, and equipment commissioning. Your role will be hands-on and strategic, working across internal teams and external partners to deliver technically robust, safe, and scalable solutions. You’ll also mentor junior engineers and champion process innovation using both experimental and digital tools.

They are looking for a seasoned chemical/process engineer with at least 10 years of experience in process development and scaling projects from Lab to Industrial scale. They are looking for someone who can bring deep knowledge of chemical process design, scale-up, and equipment implementation. You will need to be comfortable running Aspen simulations, conducting techno-economic evaluations, and leading multidisciplinary teams as well as having worked across a wide range of unit operations and are passionate about innovation, sustainability, and seeing ideas through to commercial reality.
