IT Support Engineer needed to join a small team at their Exeter offices (onsite daily). We’re on the hunt for someone with an excellent coverage of infrastructure support, a proactive and inquisitive approach, and excellent communication skills. You will be completing a good mixture of support tasks and project work that will excite and challenge you within a small but supportive and learning-driven team.
What skills you’ll be needing:
- Microsoft 365 including Entra (Identity), Exchange (Email), Defender (Security), and Intune (Endpoint Management).
- Understanding of Networking, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Switches and firewalls.
- Experience implementing and maintaining security best practices, including MFA, SSO, endpoint protection, access controls, and phishing prevention.
- Experience supporting Windows (and a few Mac devices), Mobile devices, meeting room AV equipment, tablets, and other IT hardware.
- A pro-active, curious and positive attitude, keen to work on and take ownership of projects.
What you’ll be doing:
This role will involve a good mix of 1st through to sometimes 3rd line support challenges alongside some interesting project challenges you won’t find elsewhere. You will be supporting approx. 100 users across a wide range of MS and network technologies. As part of a small team, you’ll help to ensure that systems run smoothly and securely giving users an excellent experience. The role will require someone to get stuck into new tech rollouts, migrations and upgrades, monitoring performance, security and managing devices and updates. On occasion you’ll partner with others across the organisation to make sure tech is working for people, optimising and improving processes and always looking for new ways to make things more sustainable, efficient and a better experience for users.
