Molecular Biologist (12-Month Maternity Cover)
Join an innovative biotechnology company developing next-generation drug delivery and gene therapy technologies.
This is a hands-on laboratory role supporting the development of advanced therapeutics through molecular and cellular biology research.
You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary R&D team, contributing to preclinical studies and gene therapy programmes.
Performing DNA/RNA extraction, nucleic acid quantification and gene expression analysis.
Using light and fluorescence microscopy to support research activities.
Designing, executing and optimising molecular and cellular biology experiments.
Collecting and analysing scientific data.
Maintaining accurate laboratory records and complying with laboratory procedures.
Collaborating with internal teams and external research partners.
MSc in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Biochemistry or a related discipline.
Strong hands-on experience in molecular and cell biology.
Experience with DNA/RNA extraction, gene expression analysis and cell transfection.
Understanding of molecular biology, genetic engineering or gene therapy principles.
Strong data analysis, problem-solving and communication skills.
Exposure to gene therapy, RNA therapeutics or genetic engineering research.
Experience within a biotech or pharmaceutical R&D environment.
12-month fixed-term contract, potential to move to perm next year.
