An established PR/communications agency is looking for an experienced Senior Account Director to join its leadership team. This is a hands-on opportunity for a commercially aware communications professional who thrives on building strong client partnerships, delivering impactful campaigns, and helping shape the future of a growing agency. As Senior Account Director, you’ll take ownership of key accounts, influence strategic direction, and play an important role in agency growth. What you’ll be doing

  • Lead a portfolio of retained clients, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Understand client objectives, market challenges, and commercial priorities, then build integrated communications plans that deliver measurable impact.
  • Oversee campaign delivery across media relations, thought leadership, digital content, social campaigns, and reputation-building activity.
  • Identify opportunities to raise client profiles, strengthen media relationships, and ensure work consistently delivers against agreed objectives.
  • Support the continued growth of the agency through business development activity, identifying opportunities within existing accounts, strengthening long-term partnerships, and helping build strategic relationships across the wider market.
  • Mentor team members, share knowledge, and help maintain high standards across delivery.
  • Your input will directly shape both client success and agency performance.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Previous experience in a Senior Account Director or equivalent leadership role within a PR or communications agency.
  • Proven success managing senior client relationships and delivering integrated communications campaigns.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to turn objectives into measurable campaigns.
