Job Description
Designer – AutoCAD, Revit
We’re working with an innovative design team specialising in modern, sustainable construction methods. With over 2 decades of experience and a close-knit, collaborative culture, you’ll be joining a growing business with a long history of innovation. This role is based just outside of Stroud 3 days a week with ample parking on-site.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of a design team that takes projects from architectural drawings to factory-ready detail and site delivery. This is a fast-moving, collaborative role with the chance to work on a wide range of projects from university blocks to major residential builds alongside architects, engineers, manufacturers, and site teams.
- Produce technical drawings and 3D models in AutoCAD & Revit.
- Create general arrangement drawings, material schedules, and fabrication documentation for manufacturing and installation.
- Liaise with factory, site teams, contractors, and engineers to resolve design challenges and keep production on track.
- Attend site visits and inspections (approx. once per month), helping to produce snagging lists and learn from live builds.
- Order materials.
- Collaborate closely with your design peers and seniors, contributing ideas and learning from an experienced team.
What experience you’ll need to apply
- Experienced in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Able to produce accurate technical drawings and schedules for use in manufacturing or construction.
- Comfortable liaising with multidisciplinary teams and taking ownership of your workload and deadlines.
- Eager to learn and grow, with a hands-on mindset and collaborative spirit.
- Must be open to occasional travel for site visits
- Experience in hot-rolled steel or timber framing would be a great foundation.
