Hands on data science with real delivery and outcomes. Build and deploy AI and ML solutions used day to day by the business. Strong technical role combining data science, Python and production systems. Remote working with required monthly travel to the Bristol office.
As a Data Scientist (AI & ML), you will work across the full data science lifecycle. You will explore data, train models, and build AI driven solutions that are deployed into production environments. The application of AI and ML within this role will mean building, experimenting and getting involved from the technical side, but then also presenting this back to stakeholders and owning business outcomes.
This Data Scientist (AI & ML) role sits within a growing data and AI team working on practical, business‑critical problems. You will design, build and deliver data science and AI solutions that move beyond experimentation and into daily use. This is not an academic or research role, and it is not a pure software engineering position; it’s a modern data science approach that’ll give you real chance to grow in your career and apply the experience in a meaningful way.
A significant part of the role will involve applied AI and ML. This may include building and improving ML pipelines, working with LLM based solutions where appropriate, and creating data driven automation or decision support tools. The focus is always on solving real problems rather than experimentation for its own sake.
You will work primarily in Python and Microsoft Fabric, using SQL where needed to access and prepare data. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, shape solutions and communicate outcomes in clear, practical language.
What experience you’ll need to apply:
- Ideally 2+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist in a relevant role (or similar to above)
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a closely related discipline at 2:1 or above
- Strong Python skills, with experience building and running data science or ML solutions
- Hands on exposure to machine learning and applied AI techniques
- Experience with Fabric
- Experience working with SQL and structured data
- Ability to explain technical concepts and results to non-technical audiences
What you’ll get in return for your experience:
A salary of up to £55,000 and remote-first working (monthly Bristol trips) in an environment where you can grow your career and make a real impact. You’ll gain ownership of meaningful work, exposure to varied projects, and the chance to grow in a technically strong, delivery focused team.
