The Project & Commercial Manager plays a key supporting role within the Syphon service line and the wider Oneline business. The postholder provides commercial oversight, project coordination, analytical support, and operational structure to ensure that service delivery is commercially sound, well‑planned, and executed to a high standard.
More about the role:
- Commercial ownership remains with the Head of Syphons and DST, with the Project & Commercial Manager providing structured support, analysis, and documentation.
- Operational leadership (people management, daily deployment, site decision‑making) remains with Operations Managers and Supervisors.
- The Project & Commercial Manager provides coordination, planning, and commercial governance, but does not hold direct operational line management responsibility.
- Any decisions relating to pricing, contractual commitments, or commercial risk must be approved by the Head of Syphons.
- The role acts as a central point for information flow, ensuring operational teams receive accurate, timely documentation but do not replace operational leadership roles.
Qualifications
About you:
- Experience in commercial administration, project coordination, or operational support.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience in utilities, wastewater, environmental services, or engineering (desirable).
- Understanding of RAMS, job packs, and operational documentation (desirable).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and project tracking tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
- A proactive, structured, and commercially aware mindset.
