Working away 5 days a week. Permanent, full-time. Competitive salary plus benefits.

The protective coatings technician will undertake duties associated with our protective coating services, including but not limited to:

  • Spray application of polyurea
  • Running the equipment within the coating trailers
  • Various other coating application techniques on an ad-hoc basis
  • Providing additional support for clean-up of any spill/fly tip in various environments

More about the role:

  • Operating Company vehicles which the protective coatings technician is suitably qualified to operate
  • Ensuring all vehicle checks are undertaken prior to commencing any works
  • Ensuring all required equipment is located and stored on the allocated vehicle
  • Reporting any vehicle defects to supervision as soon as identified
  • Supporting the protective coatings team with the application of associated materials
  • Cleaning up any spill/fly tip in an efficient, safe, and professional manner
  • Assisting in the delivery of civils, ground works, construction, and remediation projects
  • Ensuring all uplifting and offloading of product and materials is undertaken correctly
  • Ensuring the security of all Company vehicles and equipment
  • Carrying out works in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Using knowledge and experience to contribute to the pursuance of works
  • Cleaning all plant and equipment post job
  • Identifying repair work required
  • Ensuring the depot, yard area, and office facility is clean and tidy
  • Liaising with customers on site to discuss ongoing works and further services
  • Completing all works paperwork and submitting it in a timely manner
  • Liaising with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements
  • Any other duties as designated by management

Qualifications:

  • Previous spray application experience would be advantageous
  • Knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation
  • Experience of operating plant would be a major advantage
  • Previous experience in a similar role/environment would be highly advantageous
  • A willingness to work in an environment of change
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to undertake additional training as required
  • Must be willing to work away on a regular basis
  • Must be a great team member, capable of supporting colleagues
  • This position includes nationwide travel
