Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for setting up, maintaining, cleaning and storing a wide range of drainage survey equipment and cameras.
  • Support in manual handling activities to access drainage networks and moving required equipment to locations for surveys.
  • Assist in setting out basic Signing, Lighting and Guarding.
  • Operate as part of a confined space entry team in various roles of entry.
  • Undertake weekly asset checks on all team allocated equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and vehicle.
  • Carry out detailed tool control to ensure equipment is not lost or left behind.
  • Preparation and organisation of necessary equipment to undertake each task.
  • Apply PUWER/LOLER weekly inspections.
  • Utilise work-based App for reporting of Hazards/observations, positive safety interventions and improvement suggestions.
  • Ensure correct PPE and task specific PPE is correctly utilised.

Qualifications About you:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Physically fit for outdoor work in all weather, lifting/moving loads within safe limits.
  • Able to work early, evening and night shift working hours.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment when required & have problem-solving abilities.
  • Actively promote a safe working culture by ‘Think Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe’ and leading by example.
  • Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Awareness of H&S.

Desirable (not exhaustive):

  • Confined Space Entry (Medium).
  • SLG (Unit 2).
  • First Aid at Work.
  • SHEA Water Hygiene.
  • PTS – (Rail Access).
  • Experience in Asset Surveys & Site Surveying.
  • Experience in drainage surveys and mapping.
