Are you ready to get hands‑on, learn new skills and be part of a hardworking, supportive team? We’re looking for a proactive Yard Operative to join our busy site in Shaftesbury!
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work closely with our Yard Supervisor, Site Manager, Drivers and Operations teams to keep the site running safely and smoothly. Your role will include:
- Assisting with the acceptance, handling and disposal of various waste streams
- Labelling, sorting and storing waste materials
- Cleaning barrels, containers and yard areas
- Helping with stock control
- Supporting the site team with loading/unloading tasks
If you enjoy practical work, working outdoors, staying busy, and being part of a team that looks out for each other, this could be the perfect role for you!
Qualifications
- Someone who is happy to work outdoors all year round
- Ideally with a Forklift licence
- Someone who works well within a team and is flexible with shift working
- Willingness to learn and follow safety processes
- Reliability and good communication
