This position will undertake all duties associated with that of Welder, operating out of the Company’s facility in Rotherham as well as clients’ sites, satisfying the delivery of service to all customers and on specific projects. In addition, the coded welder will use technical skills and knowledge to satisfy client demand and deliver solutions to a high standard.
More about the role:
- Adherence to all HSE Hot Work Safety Systems.
- Stainless steel pipework using TIG.
- Read and understand technical design drawing specification.
- Produce mechanical assembly to drawings specification.
- Safe use of weld & power / hand equipment (to include grinder).
- Adherence / control / completion of fabrication documentation to CE standard.
- Correct use of All PPE - Weld fume & RPE.
- Ability to consistently weld and fabricate whilst conforming to all hot work safety regulations.
- Any other duties for which the coded welder is experienced and/or qualified and capable of undertaking that will add value and at the request of line manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ welding experience/ Previous coded welder.
- Weld to WPS Standards.
- TIG and MMA experience essential.
- Use of various LOLLER Equipment (Cranes / Fork Lift) advantageous.
- Established Safety Behaviours – PPE / Safe working practices.
- Rigging / Slinging an advantage.
- Forklift licence / experience preferable.
- Independent Safety Passport preferred.
- Experience working in a similar Engineering environment preferred.
