Marlin Environmental Services is a leader in specialist industrial environmental cleaning, engineering, confined space management, drainage and waste management. Predominately operating in the defence and commercial marine sector, but with customers spanning retail, oil & gas and construction.
Plan and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Marlin Environmental South-East Commercial team, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to customer requirements. Manage customer projects, workshop activities and equipment maintenance at the Farlington facility. Work closely with customers and colleagues across the business to make the best use of resources, while ensuring compliance with SHEQ policies, company procedures and health and safety legislation.
More about the role:
- Plan and organise all internal and customer tasks and projects.
- Train, manage, organise and lead staff under your control, ensuring all tasks are carried out to customer satisfaction and in accordance with Marlin Environmental quality procedures.
- Actively manage and resolve problems that arise prior to or during job execution, by liaising with team/customer.
- Ensure jobs are ready to start prior to deploying teams by liaising with customers for the provision of access/ permits/ temporary supplies etc.
- Working closely with stores to ensure all equipment, supplies and consumables are available to complete tasks.
- Ensure accurate completion of tasks to customer's satisfaction, all documentation to be completed correctly and sign off acceptance sheets with customer.
Qualifications:
- Full UK Driving Licence required.
- Clear understanding and experience working within confined spaces and undertaking engineering tasks.
- Relevant experience operating as a Team leader/Manager.
- Relevant practical experience and training in the required disciplines and ability to demonstrate how to carry out the projects and tasks.
- Ability to create method statements, understand RAMS and COSHH assessments.
- Communication skills – develop relationships with customers, suppliers and all levels of the Marlin Environmental Team.
