Quantity Surveyor β Permanent, Full time (40 hours). Competitive salary and benefits. Location: Home / Hybrid / Leeds / Birmingham office base, but role will cover Aqua clients across the North and the Midlands of England, e.g. Northumbrian Water, Yorkshire Water, United Utilities & Severn Trent Water β must be willing to commute to client offices and sites as required. The role will be based either at home/hybrid or at Aqua Consultants' Offices or key client offices, supporting the commercial team of surveyors in the delivery of key frameworks and key projects. It will involve liaising with both clients and contractors on a daily basis, to enable effective management of the projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist Senior QS in managing projects from inception to completion.
- Serve as the focal point of contact for the client and inspire confidence.
- Manage infrastructure projects ideally using the NEC form of contract.
- Estimating and cost planning.
- Provide procurement advice.
- Complete tender documentation.
- Administer contracts and control costs.
- Prepare cost reports and final accounts.
- Attend meetings and undertake site visits.
- Lead client-facing meetings confidently.
- Manage and take lead on multiple projects for their clients.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- NEC3/4 working knowledge.
- Post Contract experience.
- Project cost management skills, including organisational and diligent skills.
Desirable
- Water industry or wider utilities experience preferred.
- Working towards MRICS / MCICES.
- Pre Contract / Contract Documentation experience.
