Job Description
Business Development Manager Leeds Permanent - 40 Hours Competitive salary + benefits
Dedicated to Jet Aire, the role is focussed on securing new work and large sales with existing customers and meeting revenue, gross margin and EBITDA targets for all services delivered by Jet Aire within a defined geographical area.
The postholder will be required to develop, implement and deliver an agile annual strategic sales plan which is focussed on high growth potential sectors and customers and that supports the needs of the businesses growth aspirations and contracted work goals.
Key to success will be to secure new customer business by proactively hunting for new works opportunities as well as focussing on growing and developing existing high growth potential customers.

- Identifying and develop relationships with key stakeholder and contract relationships with reoccurring works that have longevity across key sectors, such as utilities, construction, transport and public-sector
- Establish a relationship with internal stakeholders, such as National Key Account Managers across our wider group, to understand key targets
- Prepare (following internal processes) and present proposals, tenders, and service packages to prospective clients
- Monitor industry trends, market changes, and competitor activity to identify new areas for opportunity
- Support with digital marketing campaigns and attend events to engage with customers
- Win and account manage contracted and non-contracted sales, gross margin, and EBITDA growth targets through the securing of recurring work programmes as well as additions to services scope
- Meet activity and outcome KPIs jointly defined by yourself and your manager as suitable for achieving growth objectives
- Build and manage a growth pipeline that is visible and clearly reported and use this to support the company forecasting process (MLO)
- Lead new contract and contract renewal negotiations
- Oversee the timely delivery of accurate and competitive customer quotations
- Collaborate well and work closely with the Operations teams to ensure the smooth running of jobs/projects.
- Develop and convert a strong validated pipeline of realisable suspect and prospect opportunities into realised invoiced work quickly and efficiently.
- Using stakeholder relationships, work with clients to resolve any aged debt
Qualifications
- Knowledge & Experience
- 5 years proven successful sales or account management experience in business-to-business services and solutions; environmental and/or energy infrastructure experience a benefit.
- Knowledge of the drainage industry
- Previous experience in public sector tenders would be beneficial
- Experience in managing sales and/or account management personnel.
- Ability to create bespoke solutions based on customer needs from the suite of solutions and services.
- Demonstrable proven ability to successfully manage the implementation of services/solutions
- A good knowledge of services pertaining to Jet Aire services offering.
- Tenacity, durability and able to demonstrate resilience with a positive attitude to change
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good financial acumen with an understanding of what drives net profit
- PC based IT skills
- Track record of delivery and achievement
- Energetic team player with the ability to influence / obtain buy in across functional boundaries.
- Strong planning and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage and influence a skilled multidisciplinary team
- High level of organisational skills
