Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and hands on Foreman to lead the day-to-day activities of our South East Commercial team in Farlington.

You’ll play a key role in keeping customer projects, workshop activities and equipment maintenance running safely, efficiently and to schedule.

Working closely with customers and colleagues across the business, you’ll coordinate people and resources, maintain high standards of service and ensure all work is carried out in line with SHEQ requirements, company procedures and health and safety legislation.

More about the role:

• Plan and organise all internal and customer tasks and projects.
• Train, manage, organise and lead staff under your control, ensuring all tasks carried to customers satisfaction and in accordance to Marlin Environmental quality procedures
• Actively manage and resolve problems that arise prior to or during job execution, by liaising with team/customer.
• Ensure jobs are ready to start prior to deploying teams by liaising with customers for the provision of access/ permits/ temporary supplies etc.
• Working closely with stores to ensure all equipment, supplies and consumables available to complete tasks.
• Ensure accurate completion of tasks to customer's satisfaction, all documentation to be completed correctly and sign off acceptance sheets with customer.

Qualifications

• A full clean UK driving licence
• Experience working within marine, industrial cleaning or a similar operational environment
• Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, Foreman or Management role
• Relevant practical experience and training, with the ability to confidently demonstrate and oversee required tasks and projects
• A good understanding of confined space working and engineering related activities
• Experience preparing method statements and working with RAMS and COSHH assessments
• Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues at all levels
